During a moving tribute concert for the late Chassidic music legend R’ Michoel Schnitzler, held at the Binyanei HaUma convention center, a climactic moment left the entire audience breathless. Composer and artist Bentzi Stein took the stage to perform the unique song “Gut Far Yidden“. Stein had originally shared this composition with Schnitzler during his lifetime; Schnitzler even recorded it, but the track was shelved—only to be released later, performed by Moshe Dovid Weissmandel. As the audience became immersed in the music, the seemingly impossible occurred. An image of the late Michoel appeared on the giant screens, recreated with chilling precision using cutting-edge AI technology, appearing to sing the song in his own voice and blending into a live, harmonious performance on stage. The song is now being released in an official and deeply moving version. In this rendition, Bentzi Stein, alongside the late Michoel Schnitzler, features two giants of Chassidic music, Lipa Schmeltzer and Moshe Dovid Weissmandel, accompanied by the Capella Choir and Yanky Landau’s orchestra. The combination of Schnitzler’s unique voice and the powerful live performance creates a masterpiece that feels like a living musical testament. It bridges the past and the present, immortalizing Michoel’s legacy and his immense heart in the most fitting way possible.
