About a decade ago, on the occasion of a closed charity event, a special song was composed that has since become a hidden gem among connoisseurs of charity. Now, composer and choirmaster Yaakov Rothblatt has decided to bring the work to light – in a renewed, contemporary and moving performance.

“Zeh Lazeh” is a Chassidic song composed in honor of a prestigious fundraising event for the charity organization “Ezer Mitzion“, based on the holy words of the Maggid of Kuznitz, zt”l.

The text carries a powerful message of unity and mutual responsibility:

“When all of Israel join hands with each other, the hands will join hands in one that reaches to the chair of honor.”

Rothblatt is joined in the performance by the Yedidim International Choir, which accompanies the song with rich harmony, and the prodigy Yair Cohen, who adds a touch of Jewish emotion and innocence with his clear voice.

The result is a work that combines the depth of Chassidic thought with a catchy and uplifting melody, which reminds us that it is precisely through the connection between us here below that we manage to reach the highest possible heights.
