At the beginning of the Days of Mercy and the month of Elul, Avreimi Goldstein presents “Meracheim” – a moving and powerful work performed by singer Yanky Daskal, together with the Malchut Choir, Chasidimlech and Miracle Boy Ari Kraus.
The song brings with it a deep message of expectation of mercy, with touching lyrics that seek to inspire faith, confidence and closeness to Hashem.
The stirring melody was created by composer Ariel Dahari, the musical production is spectacularly arranged by Benny Laufer, alongside vocal arrangements by Pinchas Bichler and performed by the best musicians in the industry, with the mixing and mastering by producer Udi Damari.
The lyrics are taken from the words of Chazal in Midrash Rabbah, from the well-known incident of Rabbi Tanchuma and his city dwellers who prayed for rain. He went out and said to them, “Be filled with mercy, my sons, for the Holy One, blessed be He, is the one who fills you with mercy.”
And also from the words of “Orchot Tzaddikim” in Shaar HaSimcha: “He who knows with clear knowledge that Hashem is merciful to man, more than all who are merciful, and He watches over him in secret and in public.”
