The Kretshma was not born as a synagogue. It all started with a daily Gemara class at Nachman Rosenberg’s house, initiated by Moishe Irgas. Later, evening classes were also held, which Moti Carmel hosted at his house, and thus a special group gradually took shape.
Over time, the need for prayers arose, especially on Shabbos. There was still no fixed place, but Kabbalat Shabbat was already heard throughout Beit Shemesh. Thus was born “Nusach HaKretshma”, with kneitchim, halchamot, diyukim and chiddushim that were woven from within the community.
Jews of all styles and sectors stand together, sing, dance and receive Shabbat as their king with joy and exaltation. Now “A Shabbos In Kretchma” is being published, combined with a special clip, the first part of the series.
