Akiva Grumman and Shaya Gross are joining forces for a special innovation from the musical world of Vizhnitz Chassidim, “Valechl,” an ancient tune that sees the light of day in an innovative and invested production, with an arrangement by Moishe Yaakob and production by Shlomi Bookspan.
“Valechl” is an ancient and rare Chassidic tune, which was previously sung in the tish of the Rebbe of the Imrei Chaim of Vizhnitz, zt”l, and has been preserved over the years only among a select few, led by the late Rebbe of Czernowitz from Williamsburg, one of the greatest connoisseurs of the world of music. Now, the melody, which was previously known only to connoisseurs of the Chan tradition from the Chassidic court, has been revealed to the general public for the first time and revived in a sophisticated production.
