Just Before Two New Singles: Ilai Avidani With “Ad Hasof Itcha”

Ilai Avidani, the young singer and songwriter from Jerusalem, releases a new and exciting single called “Ad Hasof“. The song, written and composed in collaboration with his brother Yehonatan Avidani and Eden Meiri, describes a deep spiritual journey of dealing with doubts, distancing and returning to faith.
Ad Hasof” was born from a moment of true introspection. As Ilai says: “The song came out of what I felt at that time – it’s a creative process in which you open up what you feel and slowly things come out.” The song deals with the internal struggle between the sacred and the mundane, between the precious and the cheap, and the journey of distancing that is sometimes required to feel true closeness.
The opening words “Today a thought occurred to me that I never dared / I imagined myself in front of you and how I was ashamed” express the honest and exposed emotion that characterizes Ilai‘s work. The song continues to describe a journey of search, doubt and struggle, culminating in the words “Here I am, I have come to the end with you.”
Ilai, 23, grew up in a musical family and remembers a young artist. He began performing on stage at the age of 8, won second place in a music school, and performed at events in Israel and abroad. After changing his voice somewhere between 13 and 14, he participated in the program “Kochav Haba” and began to develop his musical career as an adult artist.
The song was musically produced by his brother Yehonatan Avidani, and is accompanied by a music video directed and produced by his sister-in-law Rotem Avidani. Ilai is managed by the new artist representation agency, MSK, owned by Kobi Brummer and Mendy Weiss.
Ad Hasof Itcha‘ was released a few weeks ago, and now they are working in the studio on 2 songs that will be released soon: a summery and rhythmic song that is due to be released before Tisha B’Av, focusing on encouraging people to fulfill their dreams, and for Elul, a song of Elul faith and introspection with themes of faith.
